We've all heard the stories, right? That's why we didn't just build a "copy-paste" safety policy. We built a local security framework specifically for Pakistan.
Safety isn't just a checkbox for us. It's the core of everything we do. If a ride isn't safe, it doesn't matter how cheap it is. At Rideshare.pk, we've implemented a multi-layered approach that starts long before you even book your ride.
Layer 1: The Strict Captain Verification
We don't just let anyone with a license join us. Every captain goes through a rigorous vetting process that includes:
- Physical Document Verification: We don't just rely on photos. Captains must bring their original CNIC, Driving License, and Vehicle Registration to our centers.
- Criminal Background Check: We work with local authorities to ensure that our captains have a clean record. This is non-negotiable.
- Vehicle Inspections: A car with bad brakes or a bike with no lights is a safety hazard. We inspect every vehicle regularly.
- Mandatory Training: Every captain must complete a training module on road safety, local laws, and how to interact professionally with riders (especially female riders).

Emergency? One tap on the SOS button immediately alerts our 24/7 Response Team and sends your location to the nearest police station.
Number Masking
We don't show your real phone number to the captain. Our system uses a temporary relay number to keep your privacy intact.
A Safe Space for Female Commuters
We know that women in Pakistan face unique challenges when it comes to transport. Honestly, the public transport system doesn't always feel like the safest option. That's why we've introduced special protocols for our female riders.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for any form of harassment. If a captain is reported for inappropriate behavior even once, they are permanently banned. No "second chances" when it comes to safety. We also prioritize assigning our most highly-rated, veteran captains to female riders during late-night hours.
Layer 3: 24/7 Human Oversight
AI is great, but nothing beats a human eye. Our security team in Lahore and Karachi works around the clock. If a trip takes a weird detour or stops for too long in an unusual place, our system flags it, and a safety agent will actually call the captain to check if everything is okay.
It might sound a bit extreme, but we think it's necessary. We want you to feel as safe in a Rideshare.pk car as you would in your own family's car. That's the standard we're aiming for.

What should I do if my captain is driving dangerously?
First, ask them to slow down. If they don't listen, use the in-app "Report a Concern" feature immediately. Our team will contact the captain right away and take necessary action. Your safety is more important than the fare.
Can I request a female driver?
We are currently building our network of female captains in Lahore and Karachi! While we can't guarantee a female captain for every ride yet, it's a feature we are working hard to expand very soon. Stay tuned!

Absolutely. We use industry-standard encryption for all your data. We don't sell your personal information to third parties. Your phone number and address are strictly used only for providing the service.
